Understanding Daily Digest on Listserv
If you chose to receive the list mail batched in a daily digest on one of the IGF-USA mailing lists (example above), you may be wondering why you’re not receiving messages in a timely manner and why it is delivered in a confusing format.
The digest option differs from the default option, because it does not deliver messages from the listserv in realtime, but rather send a single email each morning with all of the messages sent the day before. This option is best for those that want to follow the communication of an organization/group, but do not want to post their own messages to the list. It is particularly handy in large groups with large quantities of email being sent daily. However, for the IGF-USA it is recommended that you use the default option instead of the daily digest.
